IBPSA Certifications

Certification Programs

Shady Acres is a member of the International Boarding and Pet Services Association (IBPSA).

Through our membership with the IBPSA our employees have access to:

  • Online Staff Education Center
    • Live Monthly Webinars/Recorded Webinar Archive
    • Educational/Training Videos
  • Species-specific Certifications
  • Preparatory educational materials for independent third-party certification through PACCC

Certification Programs

  • Canine Pet Care Provider Certification
  • Canine Pet Care Specialist Certification

These first two certifications are a good stepping stone to the Certified Professional Animal Care Provider (CPACP) offered by the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC).

What Are The Different Certifications?

The first two certifications available are the Canine Pet Care Provider Certification and Canine Pet Care Specialist, both are self paced online courses that you can take anytime and test online. You must complete the Canine Pet Care Provider before taking the Canine Pet Care Specialist.

The third certification available is the Certified Professional Animal Care Provider. The CPACP is an advanced industry certification with testing administered in a testing center.

How Much Does This Cost?

There are three levels of certifications. Shady Acres is paying 100% of the cost of the certifications offered by the IBPSA as part of the employees Career and Training Path.

These certifications are:

  • Canine Pet Care Provider Certification
  • Canine Pet Care Specialist Certification

The third level of certification is much more in depth, it is called Certified Professional Animal Care Provider. As part of our investment in your ongoing learning/professional development, Shady Acres will pay 100% of the cost of the CPACP offered by PACCC on a case by case basis. Talk to Tom if you are interested in pursuing this more in depth industry certification.

How Do I Get Started?

Our goal is to do more than just provide you with educational resources, we want to know your goals and help you succeed.

The IBPSA Certifications are part of your learning path beginning at Kennel Technician 2 and Receptionist 2.

We will help you map out a plan for the certification and will enroll you. After that you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the learning portal.

I have some questions…

I am here to support you, let me know how I can help! Thanks, Tom
